Architecture styles of USA: Shingle (Coastal)

Shingle characterized by the fact of continuous coating of the roof and walls of wooden shingles. In some homes, the entire facade is decorate with shinle, in other – part of the house is finished with siding. Such houses are characteristic of the US East Coast were it was popular in the years 1880-1900.
Typically, these houses are summer residences of wealthy families from New York, Boston, and similar cities on the Atlantic coast.
